AIDDA

Associazione Imprenditrici Donne Dirigenti d’Azienda

AIDDA has over 1,100 members and rising, 2,000 companies. It was founded on the 22nd of May 1961.

AIDDA is a unique Association. As it is not a specific industrialists’ Association, it includes entrepreneurs from all sectors, which ensures continuous improvement and checks in every meeting and the broadening of each member’s horizon.
AIDDA is present at virtually every meeting, trade-fair and national and international exhibition.

AIDDA priorities are:
- easier access to credit
- start-up support
- soft loans
- introduction of young people in the labour market
- training (in the family and at school – through more intense school-family, school-enterprise, and school-university-enterprise relations). In the global market young men and women have to be highly specialised, prepared and motivated.

AIDDA is ready to become stronger, exchange experiences and products and grasp the opportunity of starting up new enterprises in third countries together with local producers.

Today AIDDA is well known in all the Italian ministries, in particular Job and Welfare Office and Equal Opportunities Office. AIDDA is inside the National Equal Opportunities Boards, the Committees Promoting Women’s Entrepreneurship of almost all the 101 Italian Chambers of Commerce, and in all the local Industrialists’ Associations, through its women entrepreneurs.

Today AIDDA combines ethics with work, and company profits with ethics. In this respect, many women entrepreneurs feel the need to be involved in the safeguarding of the Italian artistic and cultural heritage.
Today many companies owned by women entrepreneurs attach their image to a “mission”, a “non-profit” organisation or a figure connected to the “non-profit” world.

AIDDA is one of the most vivacious, creative and strongly-rooted FCEM daughter associations.
